Hands-on therapy in Bedford

Experience-led care focused on pain, recovery, and movement

About The Body Sage Clinic

The Body Sage Clinic in Bedford has been helping people recover from muscular pain, injuries, and physical strain since 2010. It was founded by Trevor Hardwick, who retrained following redundancy during the 2009 recession, using the opportunity to change direction and build a career in hands-on, results-focused therapy.

The clinic originally specialised in traditional Chinese Tuina massage, before steadily expanding its approach as Trevor developed a broader, more clinically informed skill set. In 2015, he formalised his training in Sports Massage through Sports Therapy UK and the University of Bedfordshire, adding a stronger evidence-based foundation to the work. This marked a shift toward the blend of clinical reasoning and practical treatment that still defines the clinic today.

Over time, The Body Sage Clinic has continued to grow in both scope and capability. Services have expanded to include injury therapy, dry needling, cupping, rehabilitation support, and performance-focused treatment, allowing the clinic to work with a wide range of clients, from those managing ongoing pain to people recovering from injury or simply wanting to move and feel better.

The clinic was originally based at the Rising Crane Centre, before relocating to the John Bunyan Sports & Fitness Centre in 2018. In 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, it moved to its current location on Tavistock Street in Bedford town centre. The new space made it possible to broaden services further and bring additional therapists into the clinic.

In recent years, the team has grown to include Sports Therapists and Massage Therapists with complementary skills and shared values. Indianah Lazuli and Eli Nselala joined the clinic to strengthen its work in persistent pain, injury, and rehabilitation. In late 2025, Aimee Lambdon and Stephanie Wright were added to the team, expanding the clinic’s capacity for sports massage, recovery-focused work, and stress-led treatments.

Today, The Body Sage Clinic is run by a small, experienced team with a straightforward approach: treat people as individuals, listen properly, and focus on what works. Whether you’re dealing with injury, ongoing pain, stress, or everyday physical strain, the aim is to provide professional, accessible care grounded in experience rather than promises.

Friendly, informal, and professional — and above all, good therapy.

Meet The Sages

Trevor Hardwick – Founder & Lead Therapist

Trevor is the founder and owner of The Body Sage Clinic, with over 15 years’ experience working as a therapist and more than 35 years immersed in health, fitness, and human movement.

He is known for his analytical, problem-solving approach, with a strong interest in applying scientific and evidence-based principles to real-world injury, pain, and performance challenges. His work focuses on understanding why problems persist, not just where symptoms present. Alongside his clinical work, Trevor oversees the day-to-day running and strategic development of the clinic, ensuring a consistent, high-quality standard of care across the team while continuing to treat clients directly.

Outside the clinic, his interests include audiobooks, gaming, film and television, and cooking.

Indianah Lazuli - Chronic Pain Specialist

Indianah works with people experiencing persistent pain, recurring issues, and acute injuries, as well as those who want to move more freely and feel more at ease in their body.

Her approach is calm, person-centred, and focused on meaningful, long-term change. Using deep tissue massage alongside an integrative therapeutic approach, she takes time to understand the individual behind the symptoms and how factors such as stress, lifestyle, movement patterns, and nervous system load influence pain.

Clients value her ability to bring clarity to complex or unresolved issues, reduce physical tension, and support greater comfort, confidence, and freedom of movement.

Outside the clinic, Indianah enjoys Tarot and Oracle reading, nature, and dogs.

Therapies: Injury Therapy, Sports Performance Therapy, Deep Tissue Sports Massage, and leading the Chronic Pain Management Programme.

Eli Nselala - MSK Specialist

Eli holds a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Sports Therapy & Rehabilitation from the University of Bedfordshire and is a CIMSPA-registered Personal Trainer.

He works across musculoskeletal therapy and rehabilitation, supporting both active individuals and those dealing with everyday aches, injuries, and movement limitations. His approach is practical, hands-on, and results-focused. Eli makes extensive use of manual therapy alongside adjunct techniques such as IASTM and percussion therapy, tailoring treatment to support recovery, performance, and long-term resilience.

Outside the clinic, Eli enjoys running, weight training, and basketball, and brings that movement-led mindset into his clinical work. Clients appreciate his positive energy, clear communication, and approachable manner, often commented on alongside his winning smile. Motivated by a genuine interest in sport and rehabilitation, Eli enjoys working with a wide range of clients, from athletes to “everyday bodies.”

Stephanie Wright - Holistic Massage Therapist

Stephanie is an experienced massage therapist with over 10 years in practice. She holds a Level 4 Holistic Massage Diploma from University College London and works primarily with clients seeking relaxation, stress reduction, and relief from physical and mental tension.

Her treatments focus on calming the nervous system and supporting overall wellbeing, using a combination of holistic massage, deep tissue techniques, acupressure, and Indian head massage. Stephanie’s approach is unhurried and attentive, creating space for clients to switch off, reset, and leave feeling more grounded and at ease.

She is particularly well suited to those looking for stress-focused treatment rather than clinical injury management.

Therapies: Deep Tissue Relaxing Massage and Indian Head Massage.

Aimee Lambdon - Sports Massage Therapist

Aimee has recently completed her Level 3 Sports Massage qualification with Sports Therapy UK and brings a bright, friendly, and energetic presence to the clinic. She is passionate about helping people feel better in their bodies, whether they are training hard, staying active, or managing everyday tension.

Her interest in therapy grew through her own experience as an endurance athlete. While training for her first ultra-marathon, Aimee received treatment at the clinic and saw first-hand the impact that consistent, well-applied therapy can have on recovery, resilience, and performance.

Aimee enjoys endurance sports and spending time outdoors, and understands the physical demands that training, work, and life place on the body. Clients value her approachable manner, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in their progress.

Alongside her work at the clinic, Aimee is also a Firefighter, a role that reflects her strong work ethic, calmness under pressure, and commitment to supporting others.

Therapies: Deep Tissue Sports Massage.
