About The Body Sage Clinic

The Body Sage Clinic in Bedford has been helping people recover from muscular pain and injuries since 2010. It was founded by Trevor Hardwick, who, after being made redundant during the 2009 recession, took the opportunity to retrain and change direction. Originally specialising in traditional Chinese Tuina massage, Trevor soon expanded his skill set, always with the aim of offering treatment that’s effective, hands-on, and grounded in real-world results.

In 2015, Trevor formalised his training in Sports Massage through Sports Therapy UK and the University of Bedfordshire. This added a more clinical and evidence-based dimension to his work, laying the foundations for what The Body Sage Clinic would become. Since then, the clinic has continued to grow, both in scope and team size, with new techniques and services added along the way — including dry needling, injury therapy, cupping, and rehabilitation support.

The clinic was originally based at the Rising Crane Centre, where it built up a loyal client base over many years. In 2018, it moved to the John Bunyan Sports & Fitness Centre, and then in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, to its current home on Tavistock Street in Bedford town centre. The new space allowed for more flexibility, a broader range of treatments, and the ability to bring on additional therapists to meet growing demand.

Today, the Body Sage Clinic is run by a small, experienced team with a shared approach to care: treat every client as an individual, listen properly, and focus on what works. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing ongoing pain, or simply looking to improve how your body feels and functions, our aim is to offer practical, professional support that’s easy to access and rooted in experience.

We aim to keep things straightforward: friendly, informal and professional. And most importantly, great therapy.
